- Study in focused 1 to 2 hour blocks with breaks
- Sleep 6 to 8 hours; it helps memory
- Finish NCERT first, then make your own notes
- Practise timed papers and reward yourself after each mock
The Class 12 science topper at DPS Dubai, who scored 99.4%, studied in short blocks, read textbooks regularly to learn the right answer language, did 20 to 30 minute revision sessions morning and evening and slept 6 to 7 hours.
Two Class 10 toppers with 99.6% each preferred early-morning study over all-day sessions. One started serious preparation in the Grade 8 summer break and stressed concepts over rote learning. The other worked through NCERT before any other resource, wrote personal notes and did timed practice.
Common threads: consistency over cramming, enough sleep, leisure time and honest self-evaluation after practice papers.
